If left outdoors, pets must have access to water and shelter at all times. Animal Confinement: Pets must be confined by a fence of sufficient strength to prevent the animal’s escape.Multiple Pet Permit and Breeder Permit Applications may be obtained by visiting the shelter at 1650 Gross Rd. The Palm Springs Animal Shelter is an open-admission municipal shelter serving the City of Palm Springs.Residents may also have up to three adult cats. Mesquite Animal Services supports Trap-Neuter-Return programs for feral cat and community cat management. Trapping permits must be completed at the shelter at 1650 Gross. This deposit is returned to you once you return the trap. Number of Animals: Residents are limited to three adult dogs and one litter of puppies up to six months of age for a maximum of 10 dogs. We do ask for a 50.00 deposit by cash or check for the trap.Rabies vaccination: Each dog and cat must be vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian upon reaching the age of four months and must be revaccinated annually.
